Partridge Pea is found throughout most of the Eastern US and Central Plains States. It has many usages; soil stablization, wildlife food plot, soil nutrifier, and of course for its pretty yellow showy flowers. This uniquely shaped flower looks like anything other than a pea. The soft yellow petals of the Partridge Pea with the fern-like leaves create a soft looking shrub for those meadow areas and sandy locations. Because this flower is part of the legume family its ability to easily reseed creates a wonderful food plot for upland birds like quail, pheasant and turkey. Deer also will graze on its foliage. Caution: Seeds are poisonous for human consumption.
Grows to a height of 24 - 30". Blooms July - September. Sow seeds 1/8" deep in full sun.
