This Alocasia species is one of the largest elephant ear Aroid and can produce a treelike stem of 2 meter and more. Its stem and veins are purple and its habitus and leafs are more elegant than the other giant varieties.

This plant needs shade and much water, and it makes a great garden plant under some old trees. The color of leaves and stems is slightly bluish.
