40 Black Cumin Seeds

Non-Hybrid 

(Nigella sativa)  Heirloom.  Also known as 'Black Seed', 'Habat-Ul-Sauda' or 'Kalonji'.  Annual.  A small, triangular seed used for thousands of years, especially in the Middle East & Asia, as both a spice and traditional medicine.  Plant has feathery type leaves with white flowers.  Easy to grow. 

When using seeds for cooking, harvest by placing the pods in a paper bag and allow to dry out.  Once dry, rub the paper bag between your hands to release the black seeds.  Use a sieve to separate seeds.  Store in an air-tight container.
