40 Seeds PURPLE SPROUTING EARLY Broccoli

Non-Hybrid BROCCOLI (Brassica oleracea var. italica)  Used by Romans and called "cabbage flower" and in England as "Italian Asparagus" from early 1700's. High vitamin C and protein. Likes soil rich and well watered. Sow anytime to ensure harvest during cooler months, doesn't do best in hot weather. Frost hardy.

Medium sized heads continues producing tasty side shoots after each pick, plant in autumn, grow through winter for spring harvest, very hardy. From 120 days and please note it can take 220 days.

Great in stir fries or steamed
