I am offering for sale one beer mug from Dortmund Ritter Brewery .The brewery was founded in 1889 as industrial large brewery. The "Brewery District" West of Dortmund downtown between the Rhenish road and the railway, where also the Dortmunder Union Brauerei, the Germania brewery and the Dortmunder brewery shares had their equipment was located. Owner of the brewery was originally the Dortmund breweries Company Ltd. In the first world war , the production facilities of the Knight brewery were seized in 1917 as enemy assets. Then became an joint-stock company from the company.The company grew through mergers with other local breweries such as the World Food, the Dortmunder bier Bürgerbräu and the brewery Westfalia in Dortmund, Germany. in 1928, an association was concluded with the Glückauf Brauerei AG in Gelsenkirchen Ückendorf . The Knight brewery was since then largest shareholder of the Glückauf Brauerei AG. A new production site in Dortmund Lütgendortmund was rebuilt after 1945.The Knight brewery entered in 1969 in the newly built brewery on the Hellweg Lütgendortmunder Dortmund Lütgendortmund. 1994 ended the independence of the brewery. The local competitor Dortmunder Union Brauerei, now part of who took over the majority shares Radeberger Group of Dr. August Oetker KG. The brewery in Lütgendortmund was renamed since 1995 under Dortmunder Union Knights Brauerei GmbH. 2002 a further renaming is done. In honor of the first beer Brewer of the Union brewery, Fritz Brinkhoff, the brewery was named Brauerei Brinkhoff GmbH. Three years later, the site in Lütgendortmund in favor of now last industrial Dortmunder brewery site in the Dortmund Nordstadt (DAB, former Hansa brewery) was closed. In July 2011, it was started to tear down the brewery building.
