Auction is for a Vintage PAINTING on a PLATE. This particular piece is Signed by the Artist. The signature appears to be Mary Trickett (possibly, Truckett). This is a Farm Scene, likely set in Europe, based on the architecture and the mark, on the back of the plate, which says "Bareuther WALDSASSEN Bavaria / Germany 142".
WE HAVE TWO HANDPAINTED PLATES, BY THE SAME ARTIST, UP FOR AUCTION! The two plates are rendered in similarly muted earth tones and complement each other, as they are both Country Scenes.
This Plate is in excellent, vintage condition. It is, approximately, 8" across. Wonderful period pieces of PORCELAIN ARTWORKS, to grace any surroundings [see photo]. More pictures are available, via email.
