Auction is for one, Vintage Collection of 4 GLASS CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENTS [ BALLS ]. Three ( 3 ) are COLOMBIAN and are of the Hand Blown, Painted and Decorated type.They were made for Alderbrook Industries Ltd. of Toronto, Canada. One of the Balls has the concave, centre inset. The other, large, simple pink Ball is also of Hand Blown Glass, but likely hails from a different locale. This fabulous Collection is old and quite lovely. If you would like multiple sets of Decorations, they will be sent COMBINED SHIPPING. The Ornaments are in great condition and the box is in excellent, vintage shape. These were being sold by the old Simpsons Stores and they sport their Original Price Tag of $4.98, which had been crossed out in Red Pen, to a Markdown Price of $2.49 (likely a Boxing Day Sale, in Canada). Simpsons, which was the Store of The Robert Simpson Company, eventually merged into a joint venture with Sears, Roebuck and Company, to become Simpson-Sears. Over the years, new Stores were opened under the Sears banner and Simpson-Sears was ultimately purchased by HBC = Hudson's Bay Company of Canada. These Ornaments and the memories they hold, would make a wonderful addition to any place that would like to decorate with vintage pieces. More photos are available, via email, upon request.
