Auction is for an unusually RARE item - a Vintage Music Book - PIANOFORTE EXAMINATION BOOK, Grade V. Billed as "FOUR STAR SIGHT READING for Piano Students - Daily Exercises based on the Requirements for Grade V Pianoforte Examination", by Boris Berlin, the original Retail Price is printed on the front - 60¢. This delightful old Book, was part of a collection, along with Volumes from the ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO. This particular item, was published in 1939 and presents in Mint condition, with the exception that the owner's name, Ann Marshall, is written in pencil, on the top, front, right-hand corner (see photo).
This old book, is Published by The Frederick Harris Music Co. Limited. It has a Production address for England and one for Canada. Conservatory Books, in any City, are an expensive undertaking, particularly since they are affiliated with an University. In particular, an old collection is already rare and hard-to-find. Don't miss out on this one folks! When it's gone, it's gone!
