Auction is for an unusually RARE item - a Lot of Four (4) Music Books - PIANOFORTE EXAMINATION BOOKS, from the ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO. This RARE Collection, is from the 1950s & 1960s, and includes the following Grades (Publication Year is listed beside)
Grade V - 1958
Grade VIII - 1968
Grade IX - 1966
Grade IX & X - 1953
This wonderful, old collection, is Published by The Frederick Harris Music Co. Limited. Some of the books were actually Made in England! The collection is in outstanding shape, for its age. We have noted the odd pencil notations, in one or two books, but that's about it! The Grade VIII Book also has the owner's name, printed in pen, on the front of the book, in very small letters, at the top, right-hand side. It also has some UP/DOWN Intervals, printed in pencil, inside the back cover. Likewise, the Grade IX & X Book, has some pencil on front and inside of the cover, of the book. Although we have not gone through each, with a fine-toothed comb, they present in wonderful condition! Conservatory Books, in any City, are an expensive undertaking, particularly since they are affiliated with an University. In particular, an old collection is already rare and hard-to-find. Don't miss out on this one folks! When it's gone, it's gone!
A wonderful addition to any Music Room, School, or Music Collection, this group would be wonderful to use, or to put on display! They would make great conversation pieces, or coffee table books [see photo]. More pictures are available, via email.
