To observe the 50th Anniversary of car manufacturing, in 1936 Daimler-Benz inaugurated its first automobile museum. The centerpiece of this museum was the top of the line 500K Special roadster. The Special roadster was just that. Built by the finest coach makers in Europe, Erdmann-Rossi, and featuring a new engine designed by Hans Nibel, the 500K was filled with unique features.
