This is a 1965 TOPPS baseball card featuring the signature of the great Sandy Koufax, Brooklyn Dodger, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Hall of Famer, a legendary Jewish star athlete.

He led the Dodger club to the World Series title by his brilliant pitching in the 1965 World Series against the Minnesota Twins and in the 1963 Series against the New York Yankees.  He also won a ring in 1959 against the Chicago White Sox.

The great, reclusive lefty was a basketball star at the University of Cincinnati.  The Brooklyn native is getting increasingly hard to track down, and a ballpoint pen signature is very difficult to find these days.

The signature is in black ballpoint pen.  I have had the card since it was new in the pack in 1965.  It was signed for me in 1968 while he was a baseball broadcaster for NBC.
