George Tebbetts, the pride of Nashua, New Hampshire, was a catcher for the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, and Boston Red Sox. Later, he managed the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians. He held a front office position with the Milwaukee Braves.
He is the only alumunus of Providence College, with a degree in Philosophy, who appeared on a 1963 Topps baseball card.
