JOE ADCOCK broke Harvey Haddix's heart when he beat him in a ballgame in 1959. Not just any old game, this was the game in which Haddix went 12 perfect innings and lost it in the 13th on Adcock's homer (ruled a basehit when Hank Aaron saw the ball leave the ballpark and decided to head straight for the clubhouse).
Joe Adcock was a slugging first baseman / outfielder with the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels, California Angels and Milwaukee Braves. He had his greatest success with the Braves.
This signature is in blue ballpoint pen and was obtained nearly 50 years ago.
