Joe Nuxhall was a lefthander, a fine pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Athletics, Los Angeles Angels, and ended up with an effective second stint with his beloved Cincy Reds.
He was the youngest player in big league history, a 15-year-old one-start-wonder during World War II. It took him 8 long years to get back, but when he did he became a mainstay.
He was a longtime Redlegs radio announcer.
I have had this card - a 1959 Topps number 389 - since it was new in the pack. It was signed for me circa 1984. The card has creases as shown.
See my other listing for an autographed Joe Nuxhall 1963 Topps and 1964 Topps.
