This is a nice Topps football card signed by the top NFL tight end of his time, the legendary John Mackey of the Baltimore Colts. 

The signature of the Syracuse star is in blue ballpoint pen and was obtained by me about the time the card came out.  The card is number 207 in the 1969 Topps Football set. 

Mackey was one of the many Baltimore Colt stars, who included Raymond Berry, Johnny Unitas, Don Shula, et. al.  The Colts played the New York Jets in Super Bowl III about the time of this card's issue.  The Hall of Fame superstar was a big shot in the players' union for a while.  Sadly, long before his death, he lost his formidable mental powers after falling victim to the injurious exposure of his football playing days.
