This is a 1962 Topps baseball card signed in blue ballpoint pen by Los Angeles Dodgers relief ace Larry Sherry. He was the MVP of the 1959 World Series victory over the Chicago White Sox.
After being traded to the Detroit Tigers for Dick Tracewski, Sherry also pitched for the Houston Astros. He had 20 saves for the Tigers in 1966, so he was still an effective pitcher at that point. It ended at age 32 with the California Angels.
I have had the card since it was new in the pack and signed for me during his time with the Tigers. This is card number 435 in the 1962 Topps set.
