Here is something you would never find today - a program with every player's home address for the 1946 Detroit Tigers.
This is a nice, heavy stock, very glossy.
This SPRING TRAINING ROSTER, SCHEDULE and PROGRAM features the defending 1945 World Series Champions, the 1946 Detroit Tigers.
The inclusion of the players' home addresses is a very interesting feature. Today, simply enter them into Google Maps and take a virtual drive past what used to be their homes - now, many of them are probably freeways and business developments.
This is the first post-war Tiger team, featuring Al Benton, Rufus Gentry, Art Houtteman, Fred Hutchinson, Hal Newhouser, Billy Pierce, Dizzy Trout, Virgil Trucks (you can still have him autograph this!), Paul Richards, Birdie Tebbetts, Hank Greenberg, Pinky Higgins, Eddie Lake, Johnny Lipon, Eddie Mayo, Jimmy Outlaw, John McHale, Doc Cramer, Hoot Evers, Barney McCoskey (soon traded for Hall of Famer George Kell), Eddie Mierkowicz (you can still have him autograph it), Pat Mullin, Dick Wakefield and Vic Wertz...and many, many more.
It also lists the spring training schedule and the hotels where the Detroit Tiger travelling party stays during the American League season...as well as during spring training at Lakeland and other Florida cities on their Grapefruit League tour.
The heavy, glossy stock is about 9 x 11 and is tri fold. It is still in great condition - very sharp.
