This auction is for a QRS player piano word roll #2270 featuring
‘TAINT NOBODY’S BIZ-NESS IF I DO
A blues song composed in the 1920’s by Porter Grainger and Everett Robbins, and played on this roll by Thomas Waller. This song was popularized by Billie Holiday but was a blues standard and recorded by many artists.
The Lyric Begins:
“There ain't nothing I can do Or nothing I can say That folks don't criticize me
But I'm going to do Just as I want to anyway And don't care just what people say
If I should take a notion To jump into the ocean Ain't nobody's business if I do.…”
The roll is in excellent condition with light if any soiling from handling at the tab, a small edge tear near the tab but no further notable wear. The box and label are original and have no major wear with the majority of wear and staining to the label and label corners. Thank you for your interest!
Please note, most of my rolls are antique and all of them are untested. Drying or damage from age or use may have occurred but gone un-noticed when listing. If you find that the roll you have purchased has damage rendering it unplayable, please contact me for resolution.
