This is a public timetable for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad and the Western Pacific Railroad Timetable for the The Feather River Route and The Great Salt Lake Route dated July - August, 1926.
This timetable is in good condition in that all printing and pictures are easily read and identifiable. The red coloring from the outer cover in the picture has bled through the first 3 pages so that there is red coloring on the inside, but this coloring does not interfere with the reading of the timetable.
I have included photos of the stained pages as they graduate to the unstained pages so you can judge the condition for yourself.
The outer edges show some wear, there is a small (approximately 1") tear in the upper right corner and some worn spots on the folded edge.
Each looseleaf page is converted into 4 numbered pages as the timetable is meant to be read while folded.
You can see the photograph of the "PANORAMIC SPECIAL" in the Royal Gorge on the interior cover is completely unaffected.
From Wikipedia: "The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad, often shortened to Rio Grande or D&RG, originally the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, is a former U.S. railroad. The railroad started as a narrow gauge line running south from Denver, Colorado in 1870; however, served mainly as a transcontinental bridge line between Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah. The Rio Grande was also a major origin of coal and mineral traffic."
This timetable is in red and black and white and has a thorough explanation of Denver & Rio Grande Western - Western Pacific heading westward and Western Pacific - Denver & Rio Grande Western heading Eastward.
There are detailed schedules for the California, Colorado & New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada.
