Cover are in orange cloth, corners lightly turned in, edges straight and unfrayed; light sunning to spine, silver lettering is worn, and a few small marks/fingerprints on front. Flush was not her own dog, but the dog of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and this portrait is rather about the owners as well as the dog. Portrait of Mrs. Browning is included as a plate, as well as a frontispiece portrait of Flush. Laid in is a review of the book by Heywood Broun. Includes notes by the author. Very Good + or near fine condition book. 1933 by harcourt Brace. True first edition by a major 20th century figure.
