Spectacular Gold in Quartz CAB, World Famous 16 to 1!
Nicest cab I've ever made! Rare natural display! 7.75ct
Price: $865.00
|
Auction does NOT include the gold setting...I've included it in the picture to show my bidders how this cab might look in a setting, but this auction is for this cab only. This is a spectacular gold in quartz cabochon with a rare natural display of 3 different materials coming together in a very beautiful piece. To me it looks like a lightening bolt striking down from above to a stormy sea being tossed to and fro! From the world famous 16 to 1 gold mine here in the U.S. Cab weighs 1.55 grams or 7.75 carats. And measures 19mm x 12mm (3/4" x 7/16"). I just cut and carved this piece a couple of days ago and it's the nicest piece of gold in quartz I've ever had! More later. Tim at Rivergold Designs
Please view my other auctions, I've got some really spectacular natural
nuggets, gold in quartz cabs, slabs and my own custom jewelry
creations. I'm a one-man business, so I can give great attention to
your needs. Before some of my offerings and jewelry creations can be
offered here at auction, I must procure the materials first, and that
process can be fun and adventurous. The following is from my last gold
trip to the Sierras. 2 weeks of gold dredging, motorcycling, working
for the Lord, buying, selling, sight-seeing and visiting with friends.
Evenings in camp were special times to relax and reflect on the hard
day's work of dredging in the icy, swift moving river(100 feet away).
As the sun set each day, an osprey would cruise the river, making his
rounds. There were signs of bear and lots of newspaper reports, but our
camp didn't seem to be on their grocery list. As I scouted under water
I witnessed a water snake stalk a small trout! Got invited to a church
potluck at a private 160 acre ranch up a remote canyon that was a
little slice of heaven on earth. Heard lot's of gold stories…about the
3 guys (2 I know) who each got 11 pounds of gold one season. Met
another who's dad recovered 7,000oz. from a hard rock mine. Saw the
mucking and rock drilling contests, and the Devil Mountain Brigade's
march down main street (lots of gun powder being blown off by these
fine gentleman), & saw mock gunfights in the streets 'tween Black
Bart and the local Sheriff. Whiskey diggings is close by, as is Poker
Flat (remember The Outcasts of Poker Flat by the gold rush author
Brett Harte?) Visited the ghosts of an old gold rush era grave yard
high on a mountain ridge. The world famous 16 to 1 gold mine is here
(the oldest operating hardrock mine in the U.S. where much of my
material is sourced). With my dirt bike for transportation and a small
backpack full of gold in quartz procured that day, I came upon a
trailside historical plaque that related a stage full of gold that was
robbed over a century ago. My haul was much smaller, but none the less
one I carried in secret…The trees are tall and the air is clean
there…all good medicine for my soul. Well, I guess you can tell it was
a good time, I enjoy what I do bringing you these offerings.
Gold's spot price has been steadily increasing so don't miss out before
