Up for auction is a Rawlings Official Major League baseball(Selig) signed by former Major League pitcher Frank Lary signed in blue ink. Mr. Lary has also added his "Yankee Killer" inscription. Known as "The Yankee Killer", he had a 28-13 lifetime record against the New York Yankees. In 1958, his record against the Yankees was 7-1; he was 5-1 in both 1956 and 1959. Yankees manager Casey Stengel once delayed the appearance of his star pitcher, Whitey Ford by one day so Ford wouldn't have to face Lary. Stengel explained to reporters, "If Lary is going to beat us anyway, why should I waste my best pitcher?". Frank Lary pitched in the Major Leagues from 1954-1965 for the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, Milwaukee Braves and Chicago White Sox. I believe what I charge is more than fair. It's cost more than the postage you see on your envelope to mail your item. Please take into account that most of my items are shipped in a bubble envelope or photo mailer, if you won a signed card I put it in a top loader, I print your address on a label so that there is no problem with delivery, I use packing tape to secure your items...all of this costs money plus the postage it takes to mail your item.
