Description: German porcelain hot chocolate jug made by the most famous porcelain factory in Meissen. Decorated with "Onion pattern" - the exclusive Meissen signature decoration style that was developed by copying early Chinese patterns. Unusual lid mounted with pewter mounts the way the beer steins were made. The mounts are original - the hinge is made exactly the way it was made for the beer steins in 1700s. Marked with Meissen porcelain mark from the Marcolini period of 1774 - 1814. Very good condition. The very tip of the nozzle has been professionaly repaired, otherwise excellent condition - no chips or cracks. 9.5" tall
