Description: German military beer stein from the WWII period. Commemorates Christmas of 1940 for Landes Schuetzen (reserve unit) batallion 529 stationed in upper Bavaria. The architectural landmarks - castle Isareck and castle Gruenwald - are from the same region of upper Bavaria. The inscription reads" Weihnachten 1940" - Christmas 1940. Manufactured by Wick Werke. This stein is featured in G.Kirsner's book "German Military Steins" on page 46 (#114). Authencity guaranteed. Excellent condition. 6" tall to the top of the thumblift, 0.5L capacity.
