Gerz Limited Limitaet Beer Stein 1975 "Westerwald 1750" Description: Presented is a stein made by Gerz company in Germany as a part of the series of reproductions of very old traditional stoneware steins made in Westerwald region in 1700s. The whole series consist of 26 stein - for every year from 1974 till the company was closed in 1999. The series was continued in 2000, 2001 and 2002. They are produced by Domex under the Gerz name but I am not sure if those counts for the collection. The series are very popular among collectors for extremely good quality of stoneware and pewter and for precise reproduction of the originals. This particular stein is a reproduction of a Westerwald stein from around 1750. Please keep in mind that the steins from the 1970 are extremely rare! This is the second stein in the series and it's over 30 years old - it is very hard to find. The stein is in excellent condition, it is 8" tall, 0.5L capacity.
