Unusual Antique Beer Stein Festivity Scene c.1860

Description: Presented is a very interesting and unusual berr stein. It is made of very hard stoneware-like material with unusual red coloring. I was told by a very experienced collector that this is Auctrian Terracotta stein of early period, but I cannot verify it - it does not seems like terracotta to me. Even though it is the same terracotta color, it seems to made from a much stronger and harder ceramics than regular terracotta. It is most likely came from Austria but it is some sort of iron-glazed stoneware. It was made in late 1850s - early 1860s, there is no doubt about that. It is marked with incised mark "FGW" that nobody heard of. The stein is decorated with relief pictures of ancient Greek or Roman festivity scenes - very close to some Regensburg pieces of the same age. It was made the same way - press-molded into a wooden form and turned. In any case, this is a mysterious stein with mysterious mark - the only certain thing is the age. It is in excellent flawless condition, no damage to the body or the pewter. The stein is larger that usual, it is 7" and 1L capacity.
