German Military Silver Vodka Shot Glass #3

Description: Presented is a vodka shot glass made of silver with a little bit of history. It was made in Germany in 1950s. The tradition of personalized shot glasses was very strong in the military, something like the tradition of regimental or reservisten beer steins. It was an excellent gift, sometimes a trophy prize. Usually made of silver - silverplated for lower ranks - and nicely engraved. In many cases the officer's clubs ordered personalized silver shot glasses for the officers. It was used for Schnaps - the German version of vodka. Please note that in the US the word Schnapps is usually used for something different - liqueurs.
Presented is an interesting silver shot glass with enameled medallion with the Coat of Arms of the city of Amberg and the words engraved: "Der Uffz.Korps der s Inst Kp442". Marked with German 800 purity mark and "Antico" as the maker's mark. Excellent condition. 2" tall, weight 0.5 oz.
