Yelp: After placing the striker perpendicular to the call surface, angle striker at 10 degrees to 30 degrees away from your body and draw a small oval about 3/4" long. This first yelp can be turned into a series of yelps by redrawing over the same 3/4" oval again and again without removing the striker head from your call. A series of yelps can vary from one to as many as twenty.

CLUCK: Place striker angled slightly over 90 degrees away from the body on surface top and press it down. Pull striker head towards body until it jumps on call surface, but continue pressing down and while pulling striker point, again let it jump reproducing a perfect cluck. Soft or loud clucks are controlled by amount of pressure a caller places between striker and call surface.

PURR: After gently pressing striker to call surface, draw striker head towards body slowly until a vibration chattering occurs.
