Overview: Antique Victorian era fob (circa 1880s to 1900s), crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
A carnelian stone is carved with an intaglio of a dog, perched above a Greek key circular motif that terminates to a buckled dog collar. Initials adorn the center of the circle, most likely the initials of the original owner (from what we can tell it's an elaborate cursive "C"). The carnelian is in excellent condition and free of cracks or chips. The intaglio tells a story. Functional and ornate in design, the fob can still be used today for imprinting in sealing wax.
The base of the fob features an elaborate structured design. The fob is ideal worn as a pendant on a chain or attached to a charm bracelet (a bale would need to be added to wear on a charm bracelet).
The fob is in excellent original condition.
