Overview:

Elegant antique Victorian (circa 1880s to 1900s) 'Rose of Sharon' ring, crafted in 14 karat rose gold. 

Faceted oval cut amethyst measures 13mm x 9.5mm (estimated at 4.50 carats). The old rose cut diamond is estimated a 0.01 carats (estimated at I color and I1 clarity). Note: light surface abrasions to the amethyst from normal wear.

Rose of Sharon rings were very popular during the Victorian era, given as engagement rings, promise rings or love tokens.

The ring is in very good original condition.

Size & Measurements: The ring is a size 5 (sizable). The mount measures 15mm in length (0.59 inches) and 10mm in width (0.39 inches), rising 7.5mm from the finger.

Metal & Hallmark: Solid 14 karat rose gold. The ring is not hallmarked though it has tested positive for 14 karat gold.
