Overview:Art Deco era filigree ring (circa 1920s to 1930s), crafted in 14 karat white gold.
Aquamarine measures 14.5mm x 7mm and is estimated at 4 carats. Note: few light surface abrasions to the aquamarine (visible under a 10x loupe).
The ring is made by Ostby & Barton, one of the most well known jewelry manufacturers of the period. The firm was founded in 1879 and ceased production around the 1950s. Sadly, Ostby perished aboard the Titanic whilst his elder daughter survived. Today, Ostby Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine vintage jewelry for the exquisite workmanship and history behind the company.
