A Superb Georgian Era Brooch

Offered for sale is a truly superb Georgian era brooch (circa 1804), crafted beautifully in 9k rose gold. During the Georgian era memorial jewelry become a way to aknowledge and memorilize the loss of a loved one. Information about the person including the name, date of passing along with a snippet of hair was typically featured in jewelry from brooch and pins to rings. This particular piece is engraved with the initials "IS" followed by "Died Aug 15th 1804 Aged 64". A hard-to-find and very collectible piece of fine Georgian era jewelry. The original presentation box is also included.
