Dimand was the curator of Near Eastern Art for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the time no one knew a lot or was really collecting this art. The museum decided to ad to its collection and the 1930ies Mr. Dimand researched and wrote the first book on Muhammadan Art. This is his revised and expanded edition. Loaded with drawings and B&W photos.
