This covers the art from the period of appx. 1536 thru the early 1700's. Akbar's the great warrior made Mughal his capital city. The catalog was for an exhibit at the Asia Society in New York. There are maps, color and B&W photos, line drawings and a complete fully documented history of each item in the exhibit. In addition there is a brief history of Mughal Empire in its heyday the 1500's.
