	"You Betta Believe It!" Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) pattern This pattern celebrates the beautiful Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta Splendens) using our Special Edition dye-painted fabrics. Three construction options are detailed – read through all instructions & options before commencing. (Tip - Highlight the method you choose to work with so you don't get confused! :) YOU'LL NEED: A light table and/or firm, smooth working surface for tracing. A large, firm ironing surface – ideally, you want to be able to lay all pattern pieces on the fabric at once & iron while all are in place. Several layers of quilt wadding or felt on a work table is best. Half a metre of Special Editions multiblend hand-dye 70cm of black fabric 80cm wadding 80cm backing fabric A soft pencil (2B or 3B), kept sharp Fusible webbing OR freezer paper and 606 spray Baking paper (Glad, Multix, & Select brands are all fine) Iron Small sharp-pointed scissors Rotary cutter, mat and ruler Good light Sewing machine, threads Nice but not essential: Large appliqué mat Spray baste (505) See our store for the "fish fabrics" that are specially designed so you only need one piece (half-metre/20") for all the coloured sections on the Betta pattern. We also stock precuts of jet black cotton poplin (the same lovely fabric as we use for all our hand-dyes) for this pattern - so much nicer than homespun you'll never want to go back ;) Australian buyers: I prefer direct bank deposit, or you can pay by credit card via the phone.
