The AJA KONA 3G HD/SD SDI 3D Card offers uncompressed SD, HD, Dual Link HD, 2K, and 3G video support. Featuring 10-bit uncompressed video input/output, the KONA 3G card also offers stereo simplicity via 3D Stereoscopic workflows. Supervising needs are satisfied by utilizing more affordable 3D displays available via the HDMI 1.4a support.
You can integrate the system into any audio environment for multi-channel audio mastering via the 16-channel SDI embedded 24-bit 48 kHz audio. Enhanced input sample-rate conversion on AES inputs eliminates the need for synchronization with the audio sources.
Full 10-bit, broadcast-quality, motion-adaptive SD to HD up-conversion, HD to HD cross-conversion, HD to SD down-conversion, and automatic HD/SD 12-bit component analog output is provided by the KONA 3G. Hardware-based cross-conversion capabilities allow you to 720p 23.98 to 1080PsF 23.98 which in today's multi-format HD post environment, is a necessity to ensure streamlined creation of dailies and deliverables.
You can place graphic files with an alpha channel over the video being input to the board, a selectable color matte, or the contents of the card's frame buffer via an SD/HD downstream keyer incorporated within the KONA 3D card.
Support for 2K video allows you to accept input from 3G or HDSL-equipped sources and record at full frame rates or use the AJA VTR Xchange application to simultaneously record 2K DPX files and 2K QuickTime reference movies. Existing 2K media such as sequential DPX or Cineon files can be processed via AJA's DPXToQT Translator application that helps you to create widely compatible QuickTime files.
Machine control using a master/slave configurable RS-422 is offered via a Sony protocol-driven 9-pin connector. Connectivity is simplified via the optional K3G-Box in post-production environments that provides 8 additional AES audio channels, 2-channel RCA analog audio monitoring jacks, and looping BNC Genlock reference connectors.
