This unit will "clone" the VTR control protocol from any standard IR type VTR and convert those commands to a transmitted signal along standard coaxial RG59U type cables. The unit outputs five identical 75 ohm signals which can be selected or de-selected via front panel switches. In this manner, up to five banks of VTRs can be addressed individually or simultaneously from the MRM-100/5. The signals that are generated by the MRM-100/5 are fed to our RM-20 INFRARED DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIERS which drive 20 VTRs each. Each MRM-100/5 output can drive 5 RM-20 or 100 VTRs per bank. In this fashion, a single MRM-100/5 can control up to 500 VTRs with a single push of a button. Standard features are: FFW, REW, STOP, RECORD, PAUSE, PLAY, EJECT, SPEED. When ordering an MRM-100/5 you must send us 2 hand held remote controls which came with your VTRs. The hand held units will not be returned. CUSTOM ORDERS: The MRM-100/5 is designed standard for one model of VTR. The unit can be designed to control up five different VTR types.
