Utilizing next generation XVDT technology, the HD-TX2500 enables users to acquire and deliver high-quality digital video and audio at reduced cost over DVB satellite, COFDM microwave and broadband IP networks. Designed for live remote and mobile applications such as DENG, the HD-TX2500 provides DVB/ASI and IP network outputs for real-time streaming of XVD-HD/SD data packets. It provides HD-SDI /SD-SDI inputs and making it compatible with digital studio and post production facilities. Users can select a variety of standards in HD (1080@24/30p , 1080@50/60i or 720p@60p) and SD (NTSC or PAL). The HD-TX2500 is compact, lightweight, and has low power requirement. At one-fifth the size of conventional HD encoders, it provides operational versatility. The HD-TX2500 offers real-time compression of HDTV content at encoded data rates between 3-15 Mbps, and SDTV at 250 Kbps-5.0 Mbps. Full D1 resolution can be achieved in SDTV at encoded data rates as low as 1 Mbps for non-aggressive video, and 2-3 Mbps for aggressive content. The XVD digital media acquisition and delivery system is comprised of the HD-TX2500 encoder and HD-RX2500 decoder. This high-performance system provides a substantial increase in bandwidth utilization, and lower cost of operation in satellite, microwave and IP links.
