Jump Start Your Vintage Wafer Collection With This Mixed Pack Best Deal on eBay It is very difficult to photograph these objects as they are shiny but here is what they are:- ·         4 x 200mm/8" Etched silicon discs ·         1 x 150mm/6" Etched silicon disc ·         1 x 100mm/4" Etched silicon disc The 4 x 8" discs and the 6" discs you will get are exactly the ones shown in the photos. 3 of the 8" discs have devices etched onto them and the 4th is a process test pattern (and is marked as (M) MIT1999 and a bunch of names underneath - see the pictures. The 6" disc is a memory device. The 4" disc will be taken from my private collection and will have etched circuits - it is up to you to discover just what they are under a microscope!! These wafers would make a nice talking point in anyone’s den or office area - mounted in a nice frame or embedded in Lucite. They make great teaching aids. Wafers like this are usually destroyed so as to stop them being copied or stolen. They would form the start of a nice collection - believe me collecting these things is addictive...... When the light strikes the surface of one of these discs at the right angle lots of fantastic colours are produced as you can see. The pictures don't do them justice as they are so difficult to photograph! I also took some photos using a small microscope that I own and you can see some of the great detail on the surfaces of these items.
