They were usually supplied with Zenit cameras and thus usable with other M42 lens mount cameras such as the Pentax Spotmatic. Some later Helios models were built also for the Pentax K mount. The Helios-44 and Helios-40 are derivatives of the Carl Zeiss Biotar optical formula. It makes a perfect portrait pictures. - used condition -            Description Model   Helios-40 Mount   M42 Focal Length   85mm Maximum Aperture  ƒ/1.5 Minimum Aperture ƒ/22 Lense #  623802   In good condition for 1962 item, works aperture throughout the range, the distance scale rotate some smoothly , the lenses are clean without scratches , dust little inside . The diaphragm blades has no oil , the outer cage in good condition -  light wear of safe usage,  there are a few scratches on the body. Filter thread has  a dent  - please look pictures. The lens can be used on digital cameras via adapter or another M42 mount lenses. Come with :    original leather case, 2 filters ,My best wishes.
