HELIOS 44-2  2/58  M42 Lens   for your collection  HELIOS 44-2  2/58  Lens  # 7700946 Jupiter Optical Plant , Valday USSR                    for ZENIT - Mamiya - Sekor -Praktica - Pentax         Helios was a brand of camera lenses, made in the USSR. They were usually supplied with Zenit cameras and thus usable with other M42 lens mount cameras such as the Pentax Spotmatic. Some later Helios models were built also for the Pentax K mount. The Helios-44 and Helios-40 are derivatives of the Carl Zeiss Biotar optical formula.   Original, used        Description Model   Helios-44[exp 2] Mount   M42 Focal Length   58mm Maximum Aperture  ƒ/2.0 Minimum Aperture ƒ/16   In good condition, works aperture throughout the range, the focusing scale rotate smoothly and evenly. Front lenses has clearning marks.  Rear lens has 1 serious SCRATCH !! .   There are a little oil on the diaphragm blades, but in the limits of manufacturer .
