Record Grading

 

All of our albums, 45's, and 78's have been graded using the price guides listed below.

PLEASE NOTE-The grades you see on the record pages are for the record only - I have tried to give an accurate description of the album jacket in the comments section of the charts if it is flawed. We have priced ALL of our products on the conservative side.

For LP's,45's and 78's we use The Official Price Guide to Records(18th edition)by Jerry Osborne, The Goldmine Record Album Price Guide by Tim Neely, Rockin' Records 2008 by Jerry Osborne, American Premium Record Guide 1900-1965 by Les Docks, Presleyana V by Jerry Osborne and The Complete Beatles by Perry Cox and Joe Lindsay.

 

We are confident that you will find that our pricing and condition evaluation of all our products is very conservative.

 

Any collectible can vary greatly in pricing depending on many factors - please keep this in mind!

Record collecting as well as general memorabilia collecting is a very pleasurable experience, and we strive to make your shopping trip with us a most memorable event.

 

Record grading terms used:

 

MINT - still sealed, mint condition.

NM - near mint, close to perfect with very little, if any signs of use.

VG++ - record may have a few visual imperfections which do not affect the sound quality. Covers may have a minor sign of wear.

VG+ - a record that has been handled and played with care. There may be surface scratches and/or occasional surface noise which do not affect play or the overall musical experience. Covers on VG+ records have more visible wear than VG++, and they may be starting to split at a seam.

VG - these records show more signs of wear which may include loss of vinyl luster and scratches. Cover may be split at a seam, show other signs of wear or have writing on it. Serious flaws such as skipping/loud pops/sticking may be present. These records are fine for those who don't mind or enjoy that old record sound.

G - means good to fill out your collection but this record is seriously worn/damaged. Only for the serious collector!

gatefold cover - means that the album cover opens up like a book

 

Shipping

All Canadian and Continental USA orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited Surface Parcel whenever possible. This INCLUDES handling,insurance and tracking capabilities PLUS my volume discount which I receive from Canada Post and pass the savings on to my customers.

All International orders are shipped via Canada Post, either by air or by surface mail - the choice is ALWAYS YOURS. Shipping by air takes between 6 to 10 days for delivery while shipping by surface takes between 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. These prices INCLUDE handling,insurance PLUS my volume discount.

I DO NOT, nor WILL I EVER use shipping charges as a money maker ! It is simply unethical. Whatever I get charged by Canada Post for shipping is EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET CHARGED.
