I am pleased to present for sale this monumental 19th Brass Column Cut Glass Font Banquet Lamp with a Hinks Double Burner. This huge 19th century lamp also offers an antique blown glass chimney. This stunning lamp measures a total height to the top of the chimney of 35 3/4 inches, height to the top of the shade is 29 1/2 inches,height to the brass font collar measures 24 inches and the lamp weighs 13. 4 lbs. The antique blown glass chimney measures 9 3/4 inches tall and does have a chip on the top, but is a wonderful antique blown shade with the body being ovoid in shape and offers wavy lines of old glass. The brass double burner is marked on the wick riser knob" Hinks Duplex Patent".The old fluer-de lis and torches glass shade measures 4 1/4 inches high and 7 3/4 inches across the top ,shade has no repairs, cracks or splits but some nics and roughness to the base portion that fits into the shade fitter. The shade may or may not be original to the lamp but is an old one, and has a beautiful ring when you tap the glass, and compliments the lamp beautifully. The cut glass font is positively stunning and has no chips or cracks I can find.The heavy brass column base offers a fancy Corinthian top that joins the font and a tall column joining a tripod style base offering acanthus leaves at the base. The brass column base has not been polished and has loads of aged patina. This lamp has not been electrified and does not have wicks in the burner. A magnificent, large 19th century banquet lamp with a commanding presence that would be a wonderful addition to your Victorian Decor or antique lamp collection.
