Being presented for sale is this Outstanding Victorian Eastkake Walnut and Burl Walnut 2 piece Full Size Bedroom set circa 1883. This beautiful all original 19th century bedroom set offers beautiful carved Bell flowers, rosettes, half spiral moldings and incised carvings with the a pat'd date on the mirror hardware of May 29, 1883. We believe this matching 2 piece set to be all original having the original finish, beveled mirror, hardware and marble. Bed : This beautiful high back bed measures a total height to the top of the head-board is 80 inches ( 6 ft 8 in), height of the foot-board measures 31 inches, height to the flat portion of the fancy side rails measures 15 inches. The outside measurements of the bed are 57 1/2 inches wide by 79 1/2 inches long and the inside mattress area measures 54 1/2 inches wide by 75 inches long and should accommodate a full size mattress set nicely but one should always measure their mattress set to assure proper fit. The total weight of this bed is approximately 150 lbs (dis-assembles into four pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving) This bed is very solid and sturdy and has an impressive presence. Dresser: The matching tall marble top dresser measures 85 inches in total height from the floor to the top of the mirror, 44 1/2 inches wide, 20 1/2 inches deep, height from the floor to the top of the marble base is 30 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 165 lbs. The dresser offers the same beautiful carvings and details as the bed.The large beveled mirror pivots front to back and we believe this to be the original beveled mirror, and it is in excellent antique condition with only some slight spotting and streaking that's age appropriate and measures 27 inches in height by 33 inches wide. This mirror is attached to the mirror frame with the original hardware with the pat'd date of "May 29,83" ...which is 1883. The original marble top is in wonderful antique condition with only two small roughness chips on the front edge these don't really show up but upon close inspection are present.The dresser base offers 2 smaller storage drawers over two larger ones with each one having their original Eastlake brass pulls, period dove-tailed ends and all the locks are intact but we do not have they key. The dresser does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier transport during moving and shipping ( mirror, marble and base). This dresser is also quality made and very nice and clean and ready to be placed in your home.
