~Eastlake Victorian Maple & Birch Marble Top Cheval Dresser ca 1880~ Being offered for sale this fantastic Victorian Eastlake Maple & Birch Marble Top Cheval Dresser / Dressing Vanity circa 1880's. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches, the dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back, and is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in between two upright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the beveled mirror to be original and it measures 47 inches high by 23 inches wide and only has some very light silver dusting that's age appropriate. The unusual black marble on the right side above the stack of smaller drawers measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The base offers three smaller storage drawers on the right over two larger ones each having period brass Eastlake pulls, period dove-tailed ends and all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. The dresser base does have its original casters to aid in easier movement within your home.
