Being offered for sale is this fabulous Southern Empire Victorian Transitional Solid Walnut Sideboard with A Fine Chimney Back-splash and detailed fruit carvings circa 1850's. This mid 19th century sideboard has all the wonderful craftsmanship one expects from 19th century pieces and this one is positively beautiful.

This sideboard measures 58 inches tall from the floor to the top of the sides of the chimney back-splash, 48 inches in height to the top of the front,62 1/2 inches wide and 25 3/4 inches deep and weighs approximately 200 lbs.

All of the locks are intact on this piece but the key provided just aids in opening the doors at the base. The center silver-ware drawer has remnants of the old green felt lining that the new owner may want to replace with new felt. This piece features a solid walnut one board top, a chamfered back, the original wood pulls, early dove-tailed ends on the drawers and four large bun feet.

This early Victorian sideboard offers a tremendous amount of storage possibilities and does so with grand elegance of a by gone era , and would surely be a gorgeous focal point in your home.
