Title: Damascus
Description: It is an original antique steel plate engraved print published by A. Fullarton & Co. London & Edinburgh in the Gazetter of the World (1856). The name and place of publishing is in the bottom margin. In small print just below the print on the left is stated "Drawn by A.W. Callcott from a Sketch by C. Barry, Esq." and on the right "Engraved by Finden." The print is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. It is a very nice dark impression on a bright clean page. It is a beautiful print for framing!
Size: The print image measures approximately 4 by 5 3/4 inches on a 6 by 10" page as seen in the pic with a wide margin all around for matting.
Condition: The print is in Very Good to Excellent condition for its age. One corner is slightly bent, otherwise it is a dark impression printed on heavy cotton rag paper, blank on the reverse with plenty of margin for framing. There is number in pencil in the corner, otherwise it is very clean. The pics are of the actual print.

We usually ship same or next day, so send us an email if you are still bidding and want us to hold until all auctions have ended to save on shipping or wait until the end and request a combined invoice.
International Buyers: All custom taxes are to be paid by the buyer and in some countries shipments can be delayed in customs for up to six weeks. The good news is that printed matter is often duty free or reduced in most countries. Italy: In some cases shipping to Italy can take up to 6 weeks, although it is usually faster.
