Description: It is an original batik hand signed by the artist in the corner "Rubens" Brasil. It comes from Salvador in Bahia, Brazil which is well know in Brazil and internationally for producing fine batiks, an intricate painting technique that uses wax and dyes and folding to produce unique works. Although the motifs are sometimes repeated, each one has its own unique quality due to the hand application of the wax and dyes. Overall, it has very nice vibrant color that would brighten up any room. These are very well made and printed on a heavy cotton material. It is not framed or mounted, being sold as seen in the pic with unhemmed edges. There is a slight frey around the edges, otherwise of excellent quality. It is a large item and will be shipped rolled in a strong tube to prevent folding. A Great Accent for the Home!
