Free Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints
Description: It is an original steel plate engraved antique map with handcoloring by G.W. Boynton, whose name is in the bottom right margin. It is from Peter Parley's First Book of History, Combined with Geography published in Boston: Jenks, Hickling & Swan, 1852. A copy of the original title page with the date is included for authenticity. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the main pic. It is a very nicely preserved map for its age.
Size: The map image measures approximately 4 1/4 by 6 1/8 inches on a 5 1/8 by 7" page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition for its age with overall tonal ageing, printed on a heavy page, blank on the reverse with handcoloring. There are a couple of very light minor smudges, otherwise very clean and would frame up nice, basically as seen in the pics. The pics are of the actual map and accurate of its condition.
