Description: It is an original antique map by Petermann published in an 1880 edition of Stieler's Hand Atlas. It is dated 1879 in the bottom center below the name of the publisher Gotha: Justus Perthes in the bottom center. The atlas title is in the upper left margin and Petermann's name is in the upper left. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, a very nice highly detailed map in the German tradition with original handcoloring. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 13 by 16 inches on a 15 by 18 1/2" page as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition with overall tonal aging and some darkening around the edges. It is very clean printed on a heavy page, blank on the reverse with no centerfold as issued. The pics are of the actual map.

Shipping: $5 for Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the USA and $5 by International Airmail to Canada. $7 for International Airmail elsewhere in the world or $20 for International Priority with Insurance. Please note these rates are very close to actual postage rates. No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, so we will ship as many maps as you want for one $5 or $7 shipping Fee depending on the largest map. Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, etc; For international buyers who desire insurance, the Priority International mail is the best option since Insurance is included.

We will send an invoice after purchase. Please don't bid unless you plan on paying the express fees. No exceptions, although we are glad to combine multiple purchases for the one shipping fee.
